Broadcast Journalist – Play By Play Broadcaster

Andrew Chapman is a play-by-play broadcaster, studio host, and alumnus of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
He currently serves as the Broadcasting and Media Relations Manager for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A, Houston Astros) of the Carolina League. Andrew’s broadcasting career has taken him coast-to-coast, working with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (High-A, Dodgers) in 2018, the Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A, Brewers) in 2019, and the Jackson Generals (Double-A, Diamondbacks) of the Southern League in 2020. Following the restructure of the minor leagues and the contraction of the Generals’ franchise, Chapman found a new home in Fayetteville where he has become a two-time Carolina League Broadcaster of the Year.
In the baseball offseason, Chapman remains on air as The Voice of the Fayetteville State Broncos, calling football, basketball and volleyball for the Division II CIAA program. In 2023, he was tabbed as a play-by-play voice of the CIAA Men’s & Women’s basketball tournament airing on ESPN+. You can also hear him on select University of North Carolina broadcasts as a play-by-play voice on the ACC Digital Network.
